Widespread national coverage for Oxford University academic & author

There has been widespread national and international news coverage academic and author Professor Tim Coulson has

Professor Coulson, Professor of Zoology at the University of Oxford and the author of The Universal History of Us: A 13.8-billion-year tale from the Big Bang to you (Penguin), has featured in the media after saying that mythical creatures including Bigfoot, the Yeti, and the Loch Ness Monster don’t exist.

Scientific evidence for the existence of these cryptids simply isn’t there, he says, and monster hunters should “find another hobby”.

However, Professor Coulson says aliens probably do exist, though given the vast size of the universe we may never find them.

National coverage has included Daily Mail, The Sun, Metro, MSN and Yahoo, while there has also been a host of US media attention.
